this mamma's ABC's of parenting on purpose by katie brazelton - (Simply Youth Ministry website:  Posted May 15, 2006)

Though written for youth workers, this is worthwhile for all people who love teens to read, including parents:

Students are hungering for direction in their life. Parents could consistently and frequently weave these 26 biblically based principles into life lessons and ministry experiences, but they get really busy and forget. Like adults, young people find great joy in understanding how to live the life God intended them to live. If you, as youth workers, get a chance during this Mother's Day/Father's Day season to "play mom/dad" and teach these lessons, I encourage you to go for it!

Parenting Websites

Center for Parent & Youth UnderstandingCenter For Parent /Youth Understanding: I think the title of this site might give you a little understanding of what it is all about. They send out a wonderful email update that I get and read.

This site will keep you on top of all types of current media (movies, music, etc.) and how the media relates to us as Christians, especially your teens.

A quote from this website says:  "The problem may not be the music.  The real problem is:  How are you going to communicate your values to your child?"
There are some great resources on this page from Al's site (a youth worker) for communicating with your kids about this problem.
