Adult Leadership Team Meeting:  May 3rd (7-8pm in the Parlor)

Purpose:  To Unify Our Approach to the Teens (Philippians 1:27)

Details:  Each area (Sunday School, Worship Event, Small Groups, Praise Band) shares topics covering with youth, prayer concerns for youth, and we encourage each other.

Where does the youth ministry need my help?

Everywhere (CrossRoads Worship Planners, Small Group Leaders, Sunday School Teachers, Prayer Partners, Trip Leaders)!!!

The more adults (young and old) we have involved in each teens lives, the better chance they have of accepting, putting into practice, and teaching others Christ's values.

CrossRoads Worship Planners & Leaders

Each month, we put on a worship event for youth, with youth leadership.  We always need adult supervision, leadership and ideas.  Our next worship event is April 30 from 4:45-6:30pm.  The topic is "God's View For You" (Self-Image).

Small Group & Sunday School Leaders

These are weekly meetings where adults work 1 on 1 with teens in settings appropriate for growth in different areas.  Small Groups are broken up into 2 guys groups and 1 girls group (though we want to expand).  We deal with issues relevant to guys and girls in these groups.  In Sunday School, the stories of the Bible are a focus for the Middle Schoolers, while the High School class is focusing on studying the truth of the Bible in the context of service.

Prayer Partners

We want every youth to have an adult, not in their family, who calls them regularly and prays for them regularly.  We believe this will encourage every youth and be an example of James 5:13-16.  If you would like to be a Prayer Partner, please contact Dan.

Trip Leaders

Every trip we take as a youth ministry, we want to have at least 1 male and 1 female (besides the youth director) for safety and even more involvement of adults in the lives of youth.  A ratio we try to keep is 1 adult per 5 kids of same gender.

BigStuf (we have enough volunteers for this trip)

MSME (we have two awesome volunteers, but would love to have more)

OOO (we have several great volunteers, but would love to have more)
